B.N. Armas is a writer, educator, and proud member of the Chihene Nde Nation of New Mexico, whose work reflects a deep appreciation for heritage, storytelling, and the wisdom of the past. Born in Chula Vista, California, and raised in the culturally rich border town of San Ysidro, Armas grew up surrounded by diverse perspectives and powerful narratives that shaped his creative voice.
His passion for exploring his Native ancestry was sparked by his mother, whose pride in their Indigenous heritage inspired him to research his family’s tribal history. After years of study and reflection, this journey led him to begin writing his debut novel, Chamán: The Universe Is Ours, the first installment of the Chamán Book Series, a work that blends cultural legacy, mythology, and imaginative storytelling.
Armas holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and an Educational Specialist Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University, and his background in education informs his desire to inspire curiosity and critical thinking through literature. A dedicated reader of philosophy, history, and classical thought, he believes timeless ideas should remain accessible and meaningful for modern audiences.
Through the Chamán series, B.N. Armas invites readers to explore identity, heritage, and the limitless power of imagination, bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary storytelling.
